Q. How can Christians at Cornell reach out to the Cornell and Ithaca
communities?
A. By telling people about Jesus and meeting their needs in such a way that they
see Jesus' value in our lives. The Ithaca community is generally a very
poor one and there are many nonprofits that work to meet the needs of the local
community. A local soup kitchen, Loaves & Fishes,
serves lunch three days as week and dinner two days a week. Advocacy
groups at Cornell such as Help Us Stop Hunger and
Justice For Children International are working to make a local
and global impact in issues of social justice.
